My name is Misael Martinez, and one of my favorite Bible verses is James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him”. I like this verse because it reminds me that when I struggle to fully comprehend a subject, if I ask God to give me understanding, He is more than willing to do it. I like to solve problems that people may have in a creative way; I have always had an interest in how things work and how I can use that knowledge to help others around me, to teach them those skills, and to glorify God with my work; similarly to how when building the Tabernacle in Exodus 31, God filled certain people with the gifts of designing, building, and teaching others, and in doing so, they glorified God by using their talents for the Tabernacle. At the time of this camp, I will have finished my master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, TX, and I hope to find a job soon where I can serve God and help the community. My hobbies include playing guitar, piano, camping with the Pathfinders, baking cheesecakes, and learning about new cool technology. I am excited for this new chapter in my life helping as the Science/Model Rocketry Instructor, and to teach the campers about how the laws of science and nature point to the existence of our Creator, Jesus Christ. Hope to see y’all soon!
