angie elizondo

My name is Angie Elizondo, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the 2019 Lake Whitney Ranch Summer Camp staff. I am currently attending Southern Adventist University, where I am studying to become a nurse. I enjoy being outdoors, meeting new people, being creative, making music (which includes singing, playing the flute, and the ukulele).
One of my favorite Bible verses is Joshua 1:9, which reads, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” After the children of Israel had wandered in the wilderness for 40 years, Joshua, the newly elected leader, had been called to lead the Israelites to the promised land. Leading millions was an intimidating challenge, but God realized this and offered encouraging words to Joshua and to future generations.
As life unwinds before us we, like Joshua, may be asked to face overwhelming challenges. We have to be strong and courageous and overcome fear, for the Lord is with us always. He is leading us and has amazing plans for our lives. Although being the Arts and Crafts Director comes with great responsibility, I know that God has assigned me to this task and will be with me. I am excited to work for the Lord this summer and see how he will use me for His glory! I can’t wait to meet y’all in a few weeks!!
