STAFF PASTOR

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a Seventh-day Adventist minister or college student pursuing a degree in Theology.
  • Responsible to CAMP DIRECTOR.

GOALS

  • To provide spiritual tone, meaning spiritual motivation for the staff and spiritually directing campers towards a relationship with Christ.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • To set the spiritual tone and direction for Campers in conjunction with Program Dir. Work with the weekly pastor to plan devotions for staff and campers, provide relevant Bible Studies for campers, and function to encourage their walk spiritually.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY


1. Work with the weekly pastor to plan and organize relevant afternoon Bible study for each age group according to their needs.
2. Work closely with the Programs Director to ensure that programming is spiritually on target.
3. Provide devotions and wrap ups for campfires, Sabbath spiritual program, camp councils, and worship services as needed.
4. Responsible to assist in campfire setups including preparing and moving props needed at each program.
5. Must use time wisely.
6. Must stay spiritually connected
7. During Friday afternoon, help prepare for Friday evening programming.
8. Work with program director on Sabbath services.
9. Help the weekly Pastor in calling the camper’s parents and their pastor, for those who have made a decision to get baptized.
10. Pray and encourage staff continually.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Must have the ability to manage time well. Must stay spiritually connected to remain spiritually relevant and be instant to responsibilities. It is important to observe and appropriately deal with staff behavior, assist programming, and help with Bible Encounter class , provide spiritual leadership among campers and staff, and have the ability to set the spiritual tone for the camp.

WEEKLY CAMP PASTOR

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a Seventh-day Adventist minister or college student pursuing a degree in Theology. 
  • RESPONSIBLE TO CAMP DIRECTOR

  • To provide spiritual tone of the camp, meaning spiritual motivation for the staff and spiritually directing campers towards a relationship with Christ.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • To set the spiritual tone and direction for Campers in conjunction Program Dir.
  • To plan devotions for staff and campers, provide relevant Bible Studies for campers, and function to encourage their walk spiritually.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY

1. Provide devotions for morning and evening worships, Sabbath spiritual program.
2. Teach the Bible encounter class
3. Know campers by name.
4. Conduct baptismal studies for the one hour during rest period.
5. Must stay spiritually connected
6. You will be responsible for calling the camper’s parents and pastor to get their approval for baptism.
7. Sabbath Sermon
8. Work with program director on Sabbath worship.
9. Pray and encourage campers continually.
